In 2008, Dr. DeRemer expanded his practice by purchasing Peninsula Pet Clinic in North Portland. He now divides his time between both clinics, working Mondays at Paws and Claws and the remainder of the week at Peninsula Pet Clinic.

Dr. DeRemer and his wife have three children—KC, Ben, and Wyatt. They share their home with a dog, two cats, and a parrot. In his limited free time, Dr. DeRemer enjoys fishing and crafting home-brewed beer.
